This section of our site is devoted to
maintaining your braces while you are wearing them, and maintaining
your new smile once you are brace-free.
Retainer wear:
The day you get your braces off does not mean the end of treatmentin
our office, it menas you begin your active retention pase of treatment.
Part of the retention comes from the workds "To
retain" and that is exactly what we hope to achieve. When
your braces are removed, we take a set of teeth impressions from
which we make your retainers.
These retainers will fit your theeth like a glove
and if worn as instructed, will hold your smile indefinitely!
We make sure those retainers continue to fit you properly by scheduling
retention visits for two years after you rbraces are removed.
Of course, that means you are scheduled to see us: we need to
see you and your retainers!
Follow your retention schedule to deep that great
Sepic smile we worked hard together to achieve, So don't forget
to wear your retainers and keep your scheduled appointments.
Remember always to place them in the retainer case
provided when not wearing them. Don't wrap them in a napkin or
paper towel; you will lose them or they will wind up in the garbage.
Don't leave them lying around because pets love
them. The only one "sinking their teeth" into those
retainers should be you, not your pets. Okay?
